POLL – ACM IS EXPANDING. HELP SET THE AGENDA

snapshots

The Australian Coptic Movement Association Ltd (ACM) is the peak body representing the Australian Coptic Community in Australia. We are in the process of expanding and pleased to advise that we now have active members and supporters across Australia. We now ask all our members and supporters to vote on the poll below to assist us in our planning.

WHO ARE WE?

ACM was founded in 2010 by experienced Coptic rights activists and a new generation of passionate young Copts and non-Copts from across Australia.

ACM is a community advocacy group that fights for human rights in Egypt by exposing the persecution suffered by Copts, advocating for greater political and civil liberties, and calling for justice and security of Copts in order to promote democratic change.

By closely working with the wider Australian community, government bodies, the media, and other human rights organisations, ACM has quickly grown to become one of the most active Coptic organisations in Australia, accumulating nationwide support. This status is reflected and recorded in Hansard records and numerous national and international media reports.

The ACM has achieved many milestones, which has brought it to the forefront of the struggle for freedom. These achievements include organising rallies, lobbying the Australian government to pass motions in the Federal and NSW Parliament, conducting letter-writing campaigns, releasing media statements, providing support to Coptic asylum seekers, and much more.

The question of expansion depends on your future vision and human resources you have to achieve an expansion.

Your outcomes of expanding need to be realistic with measurable and achievable outcomes.

To pick only one area of the world to focus on will be a step back from where you are now at as an organization.

I guess it also depends how much percentage of time is currently being spent on each area.

I believe to need to be selective in the cases and issues you deal with in allCootic human rights issues.

But also do not forget the importance of doing something also for Austrian Copts, by using the credibility you now have with the Australian govt to also help your community in Australia.

Copts are still the least represented on a govt level.
Copts are still without direct govt services
Copts are still without funding from govt in Australia.

I think you need to deal with all the above areas, but be careful not to overspread your human resources
