Coptic Christians attacked by Egyptian military after suspending demonstrations


Dozens of Christian demonstrators have been attacked by Egyptian Armed Forces despite agreeing to suspend a sit-in protest outside the state-run television building that lasted 9 days.

The military forcefully disperses thousands of Copts marching on Maspero from Shubra, protesting the violent expulsion of pro-Coptic sit-in demonstrators on Sunday

Military Uses Force Against Egypt’s Coptic Monasteries


Egyptian soldiers attacked for the second time the Monastery of Saint Bishoy Alexandria in Wady el-Rayan, Fayoum, 110 km from Cairo. Two monks and six Coptic labourers were wounded. Four people were arrested, three monks and a Coptic lawyer who was visiting the monastery to investigate a similar incident the day before.
